I WONDER how you are getting on with your new year’s resolutions?
Three weeks into January are you still keeping to those commitments you made to yourself at the beginning of the year? Many of us make resolutions at the start of a new year because we somehow want things to be different. We want this next year to be different from the year before. Maybe we have made resolutions about being different: different weight, different outlook, different habits, different careers, different relationships, different hobbies, different passions or different purpose.
Did you know that God is always ready to do something new and different in your life? God says this through the Old Testament prophet Isaiah: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”
God is ready to do a new thing in our lives. All we have to do is ask him and receive him.
