The fire service have just said: "Crews are tackling a blaze at the old World of Water site on Greatbridge Road in Romsey. "Multiple fire engines are in attendance from Romsey, Ringwood, Lyndhurst, St Mary's, Eastleigh, Hightown, Fareham, along with crews from Dorset & Wiltshire fire service. "Six firefighters in breathing apparatus are using  jets to extinguish the fire. "Local residents are advised to remain indoors and keep windows and doors closed due to smoke in the area."

Fire fighters are tackling a blaze that has erupted this evening at a former garden and aquatic centre on the edge of Romsey. Around five crews from across Hampshire are reported to be tackling the blaze at World of Water on Greatbridge Road. The centre has been unused for several years although there are plans for development.

Traffic congestion is building after a lorry broke down near Winchester. The incident happened on the A34 between Junction 9 of the M3 at Winnall and Three Maids Hill near Littelton. Traffic authorities say tailbacks are building.
