An ANDOVER care home is applauding its hard-working team and thanking residents and relatives for their support during the pandemic after receiving its highest ever customer satisfaction score.

Ashbourne Court Care Home received the score based on a Customer Satisfaction Index survey conducted on more than 3,500 people across 180 Four Seasons Health Care and Brighterkind care homes in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Feedback from residents, along with their loved ones, contributed to the strong result of 88.6 per cent which is the highest quartile in the Customer Satisfaction Index.

This is over 12 per cent higher than the latest national figure for UK customer satisfaction, the lowest level in more than five years as a result of the impact of Covid-19 on the ability of businesses to maintain the standards expected by customers.

The survey focused on the service provided during the pandemic including communication about the situation and provision of a friendly environment during this period. Ashbourne Court was particularly recognised for the respect it showed residents and relatives.

It also spanned key elements of care home life including the food and dining experience, activities programme, home cleanliness and atmosphere.

The survey included feedback from more than 3,500 people across 180 Four Seasons Health Care and Brighterkind care homes in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

More than 98% of respondents said they would be likely to recommend Ashbourne Court Care Home to their friends and family.

The highest overall scores were recorded in categories related to the care and support provided and the personal relationships between team members, the resident and their relative which included demonstrating respect, friendliness and approachability, which all scored 9 or above out of 10.
