Preview: Half term at The Lights, Andover
THE FIRST half term of the calendar year is upon us and The Lights has a packed programme to keep children entertained and occupied this February.
The Owl and the Pussycat is the inspiration for the first workshop on Monday, 12 February. This play in a day runs from 10am-3pm for children aged six to 10-years-old. This is a lively mix of movement, drama and dance and includes mask making and a performance to parents at the end of the day.
For something crafty for ages eight plus, why not make your own tie dye tote bag on Wednesday, 14 February from 1.30 to 4.00pm. Explore the art of tie dye with textiles artist Helen Harrison and learn how to manipulate fabric to create a unique tie dyed canvas tote bag.
On Thursday, 15 February at 11am the highly acclaimed Rhubarb Theatre are back with Sidney’s Shed, a brand new family show for gardeners and adventurers of all ages. Suitable for ages five and over, this whimsical tale follows Maisie and Sidney Waffles, an extraordinary gardener with an extraordinary shed. Sidney’s Shed is a fun and fast paced adventure through time for all the family, bursting with historical hilarity, songs, music and prize-winning rhubarb!
