A VILLAGE has celebrated its 100th meal for local residents.
For the past eight years, between 60 to 130 local people have come together for a chat and a meal at the Village Lunches in St Mary Bourne Village Hall.
And on Wednesday, 12 December, villagers celebrated their centenary meal.
The celebration coincided with the group’s Christmas party and residents enjoyed a full festive meal, entertainment from a school choir, a raffle and bubbly.
The Village Lunch provides residents with a chance to have a chat once a month over a bowl of soup or a salad in the summer months.
