DOCTORS and parents who has an ounce of common sense have been warning teenagers not to take part in the #KylieJennerChallenge because it can easily go so, so wrong.
The challenge involves sucking on a bottle or glass to create a vacuum, counting for a certain number of seconds and then releasing to leave – in theory, at least – full, plump lips just like the 17-year-old star of American reality TV.
Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian sisters, has consistently denied having plastic surgery but the craze in her name is rapidly sweeping across the teenage bedrooms of the western world.
If they are lucky, those taking part end up with fat lips and are unable to speak properly for ten minutes.
If they are unlucky, they get bruised lips and faces for days or worse – like some of the injuries currently arriving at hospitals over the past couple of days.
One hapless girl sucked on the glass so hard it smashed and was left requiring surgery.
