OFFICIALS have confirmed a body on the line is the cause of this morning's rail disruption in north west Hampshire.
South West Trains has posted on its website: "Emergency services are dealing with a body on the line between Woking and Basingtoke.
"All lines are currently blocked whilst the police carry out their investigations.
"Due to the nature of this incident, the police are not able to give us an estimate of when the lines will re-open.
"Train services between Weymouth & Waterloo will be diverted between Southampton Central & Woking in both directions.
"Train services between Exeter / Salisbury and London Waterloo will not run between Basingstoke & Waterloo in either direction.
"Other routes through Basingstoke will also be revised."
More to follow.
