FIREFIGHTERS from Overton have been tackling a blaze in a North Hampshire woodland this afternoon.
The crew assisted firefighters from Tadley with the fire at Benyon's Enclosure, in Mortimer West End, at 1.20pm today (20 May).
The crews were called to the scene after a member of the public reported a possible unattended compost fire.
They spent an hour at the scene, in Pamber Forest, and had to dig out the smouldering ground before using a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
