POLICE are appealing for information after a group of fruit-loving thieves entered an Amport garden and stripped a pear tree bare.
The thieves entered a garden off Wiremead Lane in Amport earlier this month before making off with a 'large amount of fruit'.
According to a police report, the theft is 'particularly hurtful' to residents as any surplus fruit is offered free of charge to passers-by.
