AN ANDOVER woman who was caught double the drink drive limit has been banned from driving for 18 months.
Mandy O'Neill, of Thames Court, was given the year-and-a-half long ban by Basingstoke Magistrates' Court last week.
The 40-year-old was stopped by police on River Way in February, and was found to have 71 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
As well as a driving ban, the 40-year-old, who pleaded guilty to the offence, was fined £440.
O'Neill was also ordered to pay £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £44 victim surcharge.
O'Neill's driving ban can be reduced by 18 weeks if she successful completes a course.
