THE Dunkirk evacuation, when 330,000 British and allied troops were plucked from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk during the Second World War, is currently of interest due to the release of Christopher Nolan’s film,.
To find out more about the topic, The Museum of Army Flying is hosting an illustrative talk entitled The Real Dunkirk on Monday, 21 August.
The talk is to be delivered by Paul Beaver, a member of both the Guild of Battlefield Guides and the British Commission for Military History.
Tickets cost £10 which include a glass of wine or a soft drink. Attendees should arrive at 6pm for a 7pm start.
