A NEW Indian takeaway officially opened in Winchester Street last week.
The New Bengal Takeaway launched on Thursday, 21 November under new management and staff.
Sultan Karim, Abaidur Rahman and Khalisur Rahman took over from the Bengal Takeaway's previous owner and completely refurbished the shop in one week.
Mr Karim said: "It's going very well, it's going better than we expected for the first week.
"People are liking the change and it's really nice that people are liking it and leaving us nice reviews and positive feedback."
On what sets their takeaway apart from others the trio put it down to food quality, service and accurate timing.
Although the food it serves is mainly Indian based, it will also be whipping up kebabs, wraps and burgers on the side as well.
One dish The New Bengal says is unique to the town is its Thali dish of sheekh kebab, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka massala, chicken curry, mushrooms bhaji, onion bhaji, pilau rice and naan.
