AN ANDOVER primary school showed its support for an armed forces charity by holding a fundraising day.
On Friday, 23 March the children of Endeavour Primary School took part in an charity day in aid of Help for Heroes.
The school raised a total of £2,654 in an event described by the children as an “awesome army day”.
Inspired by the pupils, the event took a sporting theme with all youngsters taking part in a sponsored personal fitness assessment made up of a running, sit ups and a press up challenge.
Throughout the day the children took part in a carousel of activities all linked to the armed forces which were run with the support of a team of volunteers from local regiments.
Activities included an assault course; a science, technology engineering, and maths challenge; a camouflage game, and tug-of-war as well as having the chance to look at military vehicles and parachutes.
