A PLAN to add more spaces to a car park has been deferred.
A proposal to add nine spaces to Bell Street car park, Whitchurch, had been recommended for approval by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council planning officers, ahead of a development control committee meeting on Wednesday, 11 April.
The plan would bring the total number of spaces at the car park to 19.
However, a decision on the plan was deferred by councillors.
Objections have been raised to the application as it was proposed alongside a refused housing development of two homes to the south-west of the site, but council property services officers say the developer has not requested spaces be allocated or reserved for any adjoining properties.
The refused bid is being appealed.
