A FORMER army aviator has been backed by a county business in his mission to help restore the Museum of Army Flying.
Paul Edwards will take on a 135kilometre solo fundraising run from September 10 in a bid to raise £10,000 for the Middle Wallop museum.
And in his quest Westover Jaguar Land Rover Military Sales have donated him a Discovery Sport to assist in the run.
Mark Whittam, group operations director, said: “We jumped at the chance of being involved in such an incredible personal challenge for Paul and we wish him the best of luck.”
Paul added: “I’m delighted with the support given by Westover Jaguar Land Rover. The use of the vehicle for my run means that I can be fully supported throughout the challenge.
“I’ve been training for more than six weeks now and I run around 120km a week. I’m hoping to be able to raise as many funds as possible towards the much-needed renovation and redevelopment of the museum.”
