A SUSPECTED armed robber has been arrested after two men were attacked by a gang.
Plain-clothes officers were seen around Western Avenue this afternoon (September 5) hunting the suspect in connection with the armed robbery.
A spokesman for Hampshire police said that a 28-year-old man was arrested following today’s hunt.
The armed robbery took place in Acre Path at around midnight on Thursday, June 28.
The victims, a 38-year-old man and a 33-year-old man, reported being attacked by a group of men with weapons.
The spokesman added that neither of the victims reported serious injuries.
A tweet from Andover police said thanked people for their patience after the search.
