ELECTRIC cables were sparking in Hurstbourne Tarrant due to faulty equipment this afternoon.
Fire crews from Andover and Whitchurch were called out to Stoke Road at around 2pm, but by the time they arrived at the scene the fire was out.
A cordon was put up around the area and the electricity was isolated to an affected house.
An engineer from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) also attended the incident, who found the cause of the fire was due to some faulty equipment on one of the poles.
An SSEN spokesperson said the engineer repaired the faults and power was back up and running by 3.45pm.
Power supply had been affected earlier this morning from 7.56am until 8.45am according to the electricity company.
The spokesperson added this was caused from a tree branch falling on the lines, and the power cut affected 114 customers.
