POLICE are investigating after a man was stopped carrying suspected stolen goods in Andover.
Between 5pm and 6pm on Friday, 30 November, in the High Street, a man was stopped carrying a large number of suspected stolen goods, which included cosmetics and grocery items worth nearly £200.
The man said that he had ‘bought them from a mate’ when quizzed by officers.
The items were seized by police and officers are making enquiries with the stores the items are believed to have come from.
Two males stopped in Andover this afternoon with almost £200 of suspected stolen cosmetics on them. Maybe the store CCTV will back up their claims that they “bought it from a mate”.... maybe 🤔 #OpScrooge #21359 pic.twitter.com/KOWg16bc3k
