A WOMAN is fighting for her life after a fire ripped through a block of flats leaving neighbours unable to go home for Christmas.
Firefighters were called to Bell Road at 2.22am on Monday where a blaze had taken hold of a ground floor property.
The home was destroyed, with smoke affecting the seven other flats in the block.
A 50-year-old woman was taken to Salisbury District Hospital in a life-threatening condition with serious burns, where she remained for four days as the Advertiser went to print.
