A BIRMINGHAM man has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 after dumping building and packaging waste along the A303.
Jamie Parsons left the waste, including pallets, in a layby along the A303 just before the slip road for Picket Twenty in July last year.
On February 14, the 28-year-old admitted the charge in court following an investigation from Test Valley Borough Council.
At Basingstoke Magistrates Court, Parsons, of Longbridge, Birmingham, was handed a £320 fine, a £95 victim surcharge and ordered to pay £956.75 in court and investigation costs.
Environmental portfolio holder, Councillor Graham Stallard, said: “It is extremely frustrating that inconsiderate people fly-tip their waste in complete disregard of the environment and of the law. There is no place for fly-tipping in Test Valley and we continue to do all we can to ensure those responsible are held accountable.
"If we have sufficient evidence, we will see you in court.”
