JOB seekers have been given a cash boost thanks to supermarket shoppers.
Waitrose shoppers in the town backed Andover Job Club, based at King Arthur’s Hall, with a cheque for £204 presented by customer assistant Annwen Walker.
The money will be used to buy a new printer for the members who drop-in each week.
Helen Jephcott, who handles admin for the hall, said: “People will be able to print off their CV’s, application forms and jobs that they find.”
Previously members had to use the printer in the hall’s office, but now they have the independence to print off what they need.
“It takes the pressure off the staff, as they now don’t have to put it on a memory stick to then print it off,” Helen added.
The club has been running for a number of years and offers access to computers, information and advice.
The group runs from 12.30pm to 2pm on Tuesday. For more information, call 01264 333294.
