THANK you for taking your time to fill in my constituency poll.

I’ve had nearly 500 responses and it shows that while delivering the right Brexit is no doubt an immediate priority for us nationally, we also need to focus on keeping up the delivery of good services and facilities locally.

Improving our roads and transport tops the poll with 73 per cent saying it is one of your main priorities, followed by cutting crime such as drug offences and burglaries, and reviving our high streets and local businesses.

I can report that in the last year we have resurfaced 20,738 potholes across the county and we plan to do even more in the next 12 months.

I recently met with the local police and crime commissioner and chief superintendent to discuss PCSO numbers and rural crime and I am putting pressure on ministers to discuss what action can be taken against county lines and drug dealing.

When it comes to high streets, the government is investing millions in revival and further slashing business rates - but I also urge you to support our excellent local shops, pubs and cafés - use them or we’ll lose them.

There is of course much more we need to do to keep North West Hampshire a great place to live, work and play in — and together with our partners in the community, we’re getting on with it.
