SUPERVISION punishment was handed was a man who walked in an Andover supermarket possessing a saw and a baseball bat.
On March 18 Gary Willmoth walked into Tesco Express, in Cricketers Way, carrying the offensive weapons.
At Basingstoke Magistrates Court on May 28 the court heard that he also used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour against three people in the store.
During the hearing 58-year-old Willmoth, of Ethelbert Drive, Charlton, pleaded guilty to the offences.
In sentencing, magistrates imposed a 12-month community order in which he will be subject to a curfew and must complete up to 10 days of rehabilitation.
Willmoth was also told to pay £85 court costs and a £40 victim surcharge.
