POLICE launched a manhunt after an attempted burglary in Tidworth.
At around 5.45pm yesterday (Sunday) a man gained access to a front porch in Churchill Close. The homeowner challenged him and he ran off into the Zooch estate.
Police were called and searched for the man however the he has not yet been found, Wiltshire Police say.
The man is described as being of mixed race, aged in his mid-twenties, of medium build and approximately 6ft tall. He was wearing a distinctive red baseball cap and a black jacket.
A force spokesperson said: "Fortunately on this occasion nothing was taken from within the porch.
"We would like to take this opportunity to remind the community to keep their front doors locked and all valuable items including car keys/wallets in a safe and secure location."
