AN ANDOVER man has been arrested after police uncovered a cannabis farm near Andover yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
Police discovered a number of cannabis plants at a rented property in Weyhill after being alerted by staff from energy company SSE.
A 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of production of a controlled Class B drug as well as abstracting or using of electricity without authority.
He remains in police custody and police say enquiries are ongoing.
A Tweet from the Hants Response Cops account noted that the “cannabis factory” contained “around 200 plants at various stages”.
Officers returned to the scene today (Friday) and were seen removing multiple large brown bags from the property.
