MEMBERS of a gymnastics club are jumping for joy after a donation from an Andover charity which will help with its world championship aspirations.
Andover Gymnastics Club, based at the Salto Centre, in Charlton, recently received a cheque for £750 from the Jamie G Sporting Trust.
The funds will pay for new training mats as the team prepares for a busy few months, with the Trampoline and Tumbling British Championships later this month ahead of the World Championships in November.
Coach Paddy Lavelle said: “A huge thanks to the Jamie G Sporting Trust from all the coaches and gymnasts at Andover Gymnastics club for buying the landing mat.
“We will be using it to prepare our gymnasts for the World Championships being held in Tokyo later this year.”
