MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to stay under curfew after he sexually touched a woman without consent.

Piotr Pira, of Mylen Road, Andover, touched the woman on September 5, last year.

The 45-year-old had previously pleaded not guilty but changed his plea on July 19, this year.

On the same day he also admitted to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause that person to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them.

At Basingstoke Magistrates Court on September 5 Pira was made subject to a community order.

He must be electronically tagged for two months.

Magistrates also ordered him to pay £100 court costs and £85 victim surcharge.

Another man, Casper Gogal, of Quicksilver Way, Andover, also pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on the same day to the same victim.

The 21-year-old was fined £120, and has to pay £100 court costs and £30 victim surcharge.

AN ANDOVER woman who was driving with a child who was not sat in a booster seat has been fined.

Isabella Nyameatse, of Hampton Road, was spotted along the A343 driving a Vauxhall on March 22, this year.

The child, aged under 14, was sat in the back seat but was not in a booster chair, which is against the law.

The 31-year-old was also found to be driving without the correct licence and insurance.

The offences were all proved at Aldershot Magistrates Court on September 3.

Nyameatse was fined £332 and given eight points on her licence. She must also pay a £30 victim surcharge.

A WOMAN who used threatening words or behaviour has been fined.

Louise Barlow, of no fixed abode, carried out the action which was likely to cause harassment alarm or distress in Andover on August 16.

The offence was committed while she was on a suspended sentence for possessing two offensive weapons in a public place which was imposed by Winchester Crown Court on July 19 last year.

At Basingstoke Magistrates Court on September 3 the 38-year-old pleaded guilty.

She was fined £40 and told to pay a £30 victim surcharge.

No action was taken for the breach of her suspended sentence.
