A WOMAN has been taken to hospital in “a life-threatening condition” after an incident between Andover and Whitchurch this morning.
South Central Ambulance Service received a number of calls at around 9:50 reporting that a car had left the road and crashed into the bushes on the B3400 near Hurstbourne Priors.
Two rapid response vehicle were sent, as well as an ambulance and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
After initial treatment at the scene, the female driver was taken to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital by road with the air ambulance team travelling with the patient.
Police were also in attendance. They say they were called to a "single vehicle collision" at 10am.
Road closures remain in place and are being managed by Hampshire Highways.
The incident comes just seven days after a motorcyclist died on the same stretch of road.
