THE search for a missing pensioner continues with police asking potential witnesses to check their dashcam footage after the release of new information.
John Underwood, from Abbotts Ann, was reported missing last week. The 81-year-old had not been seen since Monday, November 25, at around 10.15am.
Officers now say they have fresh information, after a man fitting John’s description was seen at 1pm later that same Monday walking on Fullerton Road, just before the junction with the A343 Salisbury Road.
Motorists who may have been driving through the village at the time, or used Fullerton Road or the A343 near Abbotts Ann, are being asked to check their dashcams for footage taken between 10am and 4pm.
John is described as white, 6ft 4ins tall with silvery grey hair and glasses.
“Perhaps you saw him, or captured some footage that could help us locate him,” read a statement from Hampshire Constabulary.
“He was last seen wearing charcoal grey corduroy trousers, a purple polo shirt, a navy blue sweatshirt and walking boots.
“He may have also been wearing a blue/grey coloured coat.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44190425904.”
