PUPILS brought a taste of the West End to Whitchurch last month with their performance of the smash-hit musical We Will Rock You.

Students at Testbourne Community School took part in three performances before the end of term, with one of the night's selling out completely.

The show took place in the school's theatre hall where the audience packed inside to watch the musical treat begin.

The soundtrack featured more than 20 of Queen's classic hits including: Another One Bites the Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, We Will Rock You, Somebody To Love, We Are the Champions and Don’t Stop Me Now.

Viewers were left tapping their feet and singing along to the rock anthems as they watched the plot unfold. The story followed two young rebels as they try to restore rock ‘n’ roll to “the iPlanet” in a post-apocalyptic world.

Viewers took to social media afterwards to congratulate the students for their performance. Sam Lomax wrote: "It was brilliant. The whole cast looked like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves. Well done to all involved and thanks for giving them this opportunity."

While Vicky Corpe added: "It was brilliant. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Well done everyone."

And Jenny Fowles added: "Well done everyone, great production."
