ANDOVER museum will be celebrating the Chinese New Year this Saturday, January 25, with a children’s craft session.
The craft making afternoon will take place between 12.30pm and 3.30pm costing £1 per child.
The children will be making paper lanterns and colouring in the Chinese flag to take home with them in keeping with the festive traditions.
As 2020 rings in the new decade, the Chinese New Year celebrates the year of the Rat, with staff members exploring the origins of the Chinese tradition during the celebrations.
There are 12 zodiac signs which alternate each year in the following order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Sake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.
