THREE men have been fined and given points on their licences after being caught speeding on the same stretch of a dual-carriageway near Andover.

Calum Walker, of Farm Close, in Guildford, and Robert Ridgway, of Gloucester Close, in Fimley Green, Camberley, were caught speeding on the A303, near the Parkhouse Cross interchange between Shipton Bellinger and Cholderton, on September 12 last year.

So too had Daniel Clarke, of Charlton Close, in Crewkerne, Somerset, on the same stretch of road a month prior, on August 5.

The trio each admitted their charges, pleading guilty by single justice procedure on Thursday.

Mr Walker, 33, had been driving at 82mph and was fined £220 for the offence. Mr Clarke, 41, was driving 83mph at the time, earning him a £223 fine.

And Mr Ridgway was fined £660 after being caught driving at 85mph.

All three men received three points on their licence and were made to pay an additional £85 in costs.

Mr Walker and Mr Clarke had to pay a £32 victim cusrhcatge, Mr Ridgway paid £66.
