A MAN has appeared in court this morning (Thursday) charged with attempted murder.
Kyle Christopher Thomas, of Lapham Vale, in Salisbury, appeared virtually at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today in relation to a stabbing in Porton on Tuesday.
No plea was entered, and Thomas was remanded in custody.
The 26-year-old will next appear at Salisbury Crown Court on July 8.
Police have confirmed that the victim of the attack, a man in his 40s, has now been discharged from hospital.
He had been taken to Southampton General Hospital after suffering “a number of stab wounds” after an incident in Southbourne Way property.
Officers had responded to a call of a “disorder” at the property at around 10am.
A 26-year-old man, now revealed to be Kyle Thomas, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and later charged with one count of attempted murder.
A 21-year-old woman also arrested in connection with the incident but was later released with no further action.
