A 63-year-old woman has died following a fire in Andover.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a house fire in Bremen Gardens at 1.11pm on Friday afternoon (July 10).

Firefighters from Andover, Sutton Scotney and St. Mary’s were in attendance, alongside one appliance from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Four sets of breathing apparatus, one jet and one hose reel were used to extinguish the fire.

The woman was confirmed dead at the scene by South Central Ambulance Service.

The stop message was received at 6.08pm. Fire investigation teams will now work to establish the cause.
