DRIVERS will be facing delays due to a diversion through Andover tomorrow as roadworks begin.

Wiltshire Council will be undertaking reactive patching and associated works on the A338 Tidworth Road, Salisbury.

A diversion route has been set up on the A303 towards Andover, Weyhill and the A343 which may cause some disruption and delays for drivers.

The 31-mile diversion, which will take drivers around 45 minutes, will be in place from 9am tomorrow morning.

The roadworks are set to begin as the England goes into a national lockdown which could be an advantage for locals.

With people forced to stay at home it could ease congestion on the road for commuters who cannot work from home.
