Just imagine living in a tenement building, or in an inner-city high-rise block.

Worse still, think what it would feel like, for those that live in isolated remote places, like hillsides or down, long winding country lanes.

Think of those that run our trains, packed to the rafters, with the travelling public.

Even worse, think of those tending to passenger on ferries.

Think of the crews on the planes that are still operating.

Think of our long-distance lorry drivers, working to replenish our supermarkets and convenience stores.

Think of all those emergency workers on call out

Like:

Plumbers,

Gas fitters,

Telephone engineers,

Environmental agencies workers,

Paramedics,

Ambulance staff.

Fire brigade men and women.

The many different branches of our police force.

Prison staff.

Think of all the different types of doctors and nurses, each trained to look after patients in their own specified field.

Think of all the staff connected to end-of-life care.

Think of our roadside emergency workers like Rac and AA.

Think of our essential shop workers.

Think of our farmers, unable to stay indoors in the warm catching up with the news as it unfolds.

Think of the veterinary surgeons.

Think about staff that man orphanages and homeless shelters.

Think about those that drive petrol tankers to replenish garages with fuel.

Think about those that are involved in writing collating delivering the news.

Think about those run our chemists and medical centres.

Think of the stable workers tending to horses and ponies.

Think about our trawler men collecting the next weeks fish.

Think about the schoolteachers, and canteen staff.

Think about the lifeboat men and women.

Think about our refuse men, and essential sewage workers.

Think about those on border control.

Think about the staff that work in abattoirs.

Think about those that we turn to, like our vicars, priests, bishops, and nuns.

Think about the motorcyclists delivering oxygen, blood, and vital organs to our hospitals.

Think about those that man the Samaritan lines.

Think about those that answer our 999 calls.

Now think how lucky we are, that were just being asked to “stay indoors”.
