FAMILIES in many parts of Andover woke up to a crisp snowy scene on Sunday as a surprise dusting delighted a number of neighbourhoods.
Compared to Basingstoke, snowfall in Andover was rather less. Nevertheless, the dusting turned many parts of the town white, much to the delight of residents.
Many people enjoyed some time out in the winter weather and got their cameras out to take some stunning photographs of the town under ice.
The snow day came as a welcome relief for people who have been holed up inside their homes since the start of the second lockdown. Overwhelmingly, people made sure that they were maintaining social distancing despite being out in public.
Children were seen building snowmen, while parents helped them. Since it fell on a Sunday, it helped many families have some quality time together.
A number of people shared snowy photos on Andover Advertiser Camera Club.
