The Andover Advertiser regularly prints public notices alerting the public to proposals whether by statutory authorities, private companies or individuals.

Borough of Basingstoke and Deane has issued a public notice for erecting a 1.1m-high double five-bar field gate with pedestrian gate at Watercress Cottage in Whitchurch. The council has also issued public notice for erection of nine dwellings with associated parking and landscaping at The Lawn Church Street in Whitchurch. This proposal also affects a conservation area and the setting of a listed building.

There is another outline planning application for the erection of 26 dwellings, including affordable housing, with associated public open space and landscaping, together with means of access from the A343 at Land West of Andover Road Highclere. The proposal is a departure from the Development Plan and constitutes major development.

The applications and plans are available for public inspection at www.basingstoke.gov.uk. Any comments should be made in writing within 21 days of this notice. Any comments received are open to public inspection.
