While many of us are staying indoors at the moment, there are still reasons that some of us need to travel.

Whether it’s work, shopping or for medical purposes, there are still a few reasons to leave the house during lockdown.

For those of us that need to, we’ve rounded up some of the roadworks that might affect your journey this weekend so that you can plan ahead.

Remember, please only travel if it is essential for you to do so.

A3026 between Tidworth and Wellington Academy, Ludgershall – The road is closed for carriageway resurfacing, ironwork adjustment, road marking work and other maintenance.

To drive between Tidworth and Ludgershall, head down the A338 and turn left onto Station Road, heading towards Perham Down. When in Perham Down, take a left turn onto the Somme Road to reach Ludgershall.

Work is due to end on February 7.

Nr Great Shoddesden Farm, Tidworth Road, Great Shoddesden – Work is taking place to repair verge damage on the road by filling it in. Stop and go boards will be in place, with work to be completed by February 8.

Dines Copse Lane, Hatherden – Hampshire County Council are undertaking work to infill potholes on 15m of the lane near the junction. Stop and go boards will be in place, with work to be completed by February 5.

Walworth Road, Picket Piece – Work on a sewer installation are still continuing, and multi-way signals are in place. Work is due to end Feb 8

Apsley Lane, Picket Piece – Work is taking place to repair verge damage on the road by filling it in. Stop and go boards will be in place, with work to be completed by February 8.

Chapmansford Cottage, Stoke Lane, Hurstbourne Priors – Southern Water is undertaking work to repair a leak under the B3048. There is a road closure for vans parked in road and digging work is taking place in the nearby field. To drive b

To drive between Hurstbourne Priors and Harroway, either take the B3400 towards Andover and take the second right, then a left onto the B3048. As previously mentioned, this road will have work taking place so delays are possible.

Alternatively, head into Whitchurch on the B3400, then turn right onto Bloswood Lane until it turns onto Harroway.

Work is due to end Feb 11.

M3 to London - Highways England is closing the M3 in both directions all weekend at junction 7 (Dummer) for emergency carriageway repairs, with the motorway being closed from 9pm on Friday 5 February until 6am Monday 8 February.

An up and over diversion will be in place, where traffic in both directions will be diverted up the exit slip roads at junction 7 to cross over the junction to re-join the M3.

Highways England contractors will be able to provide passage through the work area for emergency services in case a major incident occurs.
