AN interactive map using government data has revealed the number of Covid deaths in Andover areas.
The interactive map, created by the Office for National Statistics, allows you to see the number of deaths registered from March to December 2020 where Coronavirus was recorded as the main cause on the death certificate.
Tracking deaths across Andover since the pandemic began, the size of the circle on the map represents the number of deaths.
Neighbourhoods are broken down via Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs), a system designed to improve the reporting of small areas with an average population of 7,200.
As local data is only available up to January, the numbers of deaths in the map will not reflect the latest trends. In particular, patterns may not reflect those seen in the most recent case numbers, as a death from COVID-19 will be reported some time after a positive test.
It revealed Andover London Road and East Anton has had the highest number of Covid deaths in the borough with 20, 11 of which happened in April.
Meanwhile, Andover Newbury Road recorded the lowest number of Covid fatalities with three deaths since March.
A total of 185 people have died in the Test Valley area within 28 days of a positive test.
Latest figures show a total of 5,080 people in Test Valley have tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic.
