A MOTORIST caught over the drink drive limit in Salisbury has been banned from the roads for 12 months.

Christian Hobday, of New Street, Andover was driving his BMW on Friary Lane on September 12, 2020 when he was stopped by officers.

A test showed 49 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit in England is 35 microgrammes.

Last week, the 26-year-old admitted drink driving and was disqualified from driving for a year and fined more than £230, which included court costs.

The ban will be reduced by three months if he completes a driving course.
