A MAN who gave his brother’s name when he was caught driving whilst disqualified will be sentenced next week.
Michael Burrows appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Thursday where he pleaded guilty to doing an act which intended to pervert the course of justice and driving whilst disqualified.
The 30-year-old was stopped on the B3400 at Oakley on August 24, 2019, and gave his brother’s name, who was prosecuted and fined without his knowledge.
His Honour Judge Robert Pawson said that: “On the face of it it (the offences) crosses the custody threshold.”
The case was adjourned until Tuesday, when Burrows, of Winchester Road, Andover, will be sentenced.
