AN ANDOVER raised more than £1,500 at the weekend as they hosted a Christmas market full of gifts, crafts and charity Christmas cards.
Countess of Brecknock Hospice, at Andover War Memorial hospital, held the Christmas market on Saturday to raise funds for its work.
The event was opened by Santa Claus himself and attendees were able to get refreshments.
Michele Gard, trust director, said: “It has been a really nice event. We have had a steady stream of people coming through today.
“It has been a really nice atmosphere.”
Among the stalls of local produce were Christmas decorations, the hospice charity’s Christmas cards, and other decorative items.
In total, the event raised £1,558.10.
