MAINTENANCE work at Rooksbury Mill nature reserve has commenced this week.
The bridge crossing the River Anton is set to be replaced and the work - which began on Monday - will last approximately four weeks, during which there will be bridge closures.
Posting on Facebook, Test Valley Borough Council said: “Please take care when visiting the nature reserve as there will be vehicles requiring access in order to complete the work.”
“Essential work” is also due to be carried out to create ponds in order to improve the drainage on site and reduce flooding over wet periods.
These ponds will also be beneficial to wildlife as new habitats are created.
TVBC added: “During this time there will be disruption during operational hours. Please adhere to all site instructions and signage. The works are expected to commence this week and will last approximately seven days.”
