SCORES of people turned out at Andover town centre over the weekend, for an array of festive activities, and to see the Christmas tree light up.
In a combined effort between Andover Town Council, Test Valley Borough Council, the Chantry Centre, and Andover BID, events including a Santa's grotto, festive market, and entertainment were laid on.
At around 4.15pm, Andoverians gathered around the Christmas tree outside the Guildhall, and saw it lit with twinkling lights, led by Deputy Mayor of Andover Cllr Robin Hughes.
The crowd was led in a selection of carols by Marie Ponting and the Andover Musical Theatre Company.
The festive activities will continue each weekend on the lead up to Christmas.
