AN ANDOVER company has scooped a top award for its support of the local community during lockdown.

Angel Call Handling Ltd., a call handling company based on River Way in Andover, have announced that they were named the winner of Business of the Year 2021 by the Tidworth and District Chamber of Commerce.

Reacting to the news, directors Angela and Sarah said: “Winning this award is an acknowledgement of a job well done to our team and an appreciation of their hard work.

"We were so so so honoured to be finalists and absolutely over the moon that we won.”

The award has been received in recognition of the firm’s hard work during lockdown, supporting its client base and for the support of its local community.

Over the past 12 months, the Angels team has been very busy supporting their clients as they closed for lockdown and when they were reopening when lockdown ended, providing support to businesses large and small to allow them to furlough staff and themselves, but still being able to support their clients during these strange times.

In the Andover community, they have also sponsored Andover Town and Andover Youth football clubs, paid for the Andover youth team's transport when they go to a Spanish football tournament, and provided jumpers and waterproof training kit for the youth team.

They also sponsored author and adventurer Jordan Wylie in The Great British Paddle 2020, his attempt to circumnavigate Great Britain on a stand-up paddleboard in aid of a locally run Charity, Frontline Children.

"We are feeling extremely proud and thankful," said Angela and Sarah.

“The last 12 months for Angel Call Handling have been incredibly exciting and have seen us grow at an exponential rate.

“Whilst growing quickly, we have taken care to grow smartly by making sure we have the same intimacy of a small company, and all team members experience the same support, energy, and values as anyone working with us prior to the growth.”
