Commencing the Weyhill Electronic Organ Society (WEOS) concert programme for 2022 will be Michael Wooldridge who will make his eighth appearance for the club.

In addition to his numerous UK engagements, Michael has performed concerts in Holland, Germany, Switzerland and Australia and has worked with bands in Ireland and Dubai.

He is currently the principal tutor at the Rye Wurlitzer Academy and spent three years as a tutor at Sussex University.

Previously, he has been musical director on countless theatre tours, summer and Christmas seasons, and has worked with such names including Syd Little, Paul Daniels, Bobby Crush, Dana and stars of the Black and White Minstrel Show.

Accompanying Michael will be Gareth Thompson from London, a superb drummer and percussionist who, like Michael, has performed all around the world in front of various different audiences.

From his early days playing with brass bands and big bands, to time spent in orchestra pits accompanying shows, he now tours extensively with his folk rock band, supporting music legends including Eric Clapton and Van Morrison.

Gareth and Michael previously performed together for the WEOS at The Lights theatre in Andover a few years ago in October 2012.

The concert, which will be held at the Fairground Hall in Weyhill, is being staged on Thursday, January 20, commencing at 7.30 p.m (doors open at 7 p.m.), and tickets at £6.00 are available at the door.
