A lot of dry but cold weather is heading in our direction next week and do not be too surprised if it snows!
However, prior to the arrival of the cold snap, temperatures will be about average. Here in our patch we are likely to experience a mix of bright spells and perhaps a few well-scattered rain showers.
As next week progresses, with a much colder airstream in place across the region, any precipitation that falls is very likely to turn increasingly wintry in nature.
Most at risk from any sleet or snow will be the North Wessex Downs. Mist & fog patches are possible overnight along with widespread ground and air frosts.
Minimum temperatures could drop to -4C or even lower in places.
