AN ANDOVER man accused of harassment will appear in court later this month.

Paul Smith, of Heather Drive, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on January 17 when the case was adjourned to allow the defence to take further instructions.

The 47-year-old is accused of leaving a woman more than 200 voicemails between March 8, 2020, and June 25, 2021.

He has been given unconditional bail and will reappear at the same court on January 31.

Unpaid work

AN ANDOVER man has been ordered to do 60 hours unpaid work for harassing a woman for more than a month.

Between August 11 and September 20, last year, James Rapson, of Western Court, Enham, pursued a course of conduct by turning up at the victim’s home unannounced and sending multiple unwanted communications to her.

The 33-year-old appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on January 17 where he pleaded guilty to the offence.

Rapson must complete 60 hours unpaid work and 20 days of a rehabilitation activity. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £95 victim surcharge.

Drink driving

A 19-YEAR-OLD from Tidworth will go on trial later this year accused of drink driving.

Cameron Mohan was allegedly stopped on the A342 at Andover driving a Volkswagen Polo while over the alcohol limit.

It is alleged that he had 73 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.

Mohan, of Bulford Road, was given unconditional bail following a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates Court. He will next appear at Aldershot Magistrates Court for a trial on July 1.

Time to pay

AN ANDOVER woman has been given more time to pay a fine imposed in April last year.

Paris Miller, 26 and of Bere Crescent, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court after she failed to pay £354 of a fine imposed on April 6, 2021.

During the hearing magistrates remitted £150 from the fine due to a change of circumstances. She we now have to pay £51 a month until the sum is paid off.

Drug supply trial

AN ANDOVER woman alleged to have been concerned in the supply of cocaine has had her case sent to crown court.

Kayleigh Chant, 33 and of Rack Close, is accused of being concerned in the supply of cocaine between November 11, 2019, and February 5, 2020, in Ludgershall.

The case been sent to Salisbury Crown Court for a trial, with her next hearing taking place on February 18.
