A ROAD in Salisbury was blocked on Tuesday afternoon after a school minibus from Andover and car were involved in a collision caused by a "large oil spillage".
At around 3.30pm on February 1, police announced they were at the scene of a crash on London Road, near to the BP garage Four Acres Filling Station.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson has confirmed that a minibus and car were involved in a collision due to the spillage.
Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution.
The spokesperson said: “At around 2.50pm, we were called to a two vehicle collision near to Four Acres Filling Station, London Road, Salisbury.
“It involved a minibus and a car and, due to a large oil spillage, the road was blocked.
“Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution, but nobody is believed to have been seriously injured.
“The road was clear by around 5pm.”
The Advertiser understands that the minibus belonged to Rookwood School, an independent school on Weyhill Road, Andover.
The school has been contacted for comment.
